Just did some more test driving of a Rio5 today. The driver's side armrest is convenient, but on one of the Rio5's we test drove, the armrest came down a little past parallel to the ground, so that I couldn't rest my arm on it. Is that a common issue? Can it be fixed easily?

Looks like I have all of your answers.

My armrest too went down too low. What I did was remove the armrest. (Remove the plastic cover and then the bolt. It has a groove/channel on the armrest that a pin pivots on. I took a piece of wood, and put it in the channel to prevent the armrest from coming down as far. It took me several attempts of trimming the wood to get the armrest at the right position. Once it was where I liked it, I glued it in place. Once you take it apart, it will become clearer to you.

hehe, I promise I won't put you on retainer ;)

Thanks for the tip. Just knowing there's a solution is what I was hoping for. Has your "mod" held up so far?
