Bounced around here reading on the forums but haven't really seen something similar to this problem. Basically if i use the remote to unlock the doors or use the key to unlock the doors (used on drivers or passenger door) when it unlocks it automatically locks the door again. Even sitting in the car and manually pulling up the lock it automatically pulls down and locks. Apparently there is a switch behind the tumblers.
(1) If this is replaced would it solve the problem of the door locking on its own again.
(2) Also read this could also be a spring in and around the pin of the lock. Its looped at both ends, 1/4 thick by 3/4 of a inch long. Is this spring easily found if the door panel is removed?
Edit : #3 (3) the actuator on the wiring harness, could this be faulty?
edit : #2 (4) If i just pull the fuse till a nice day would the doors work just manually with a key and thats it ?
This really sucks because 20 - 30 cm's of snow is due tonight! Any other idea's are welcome! umm HELP!
