I have a 2000 Kia Sephia. I need to replace the drivers side door lock cylinder because the tooth that fits into the armature is worn off due to a rusty door latch. If I go to a junkyard and get a different lock would I be able to switch the insides of the old lock to the new lock so that I could use the same key?

Get a couple of extra cylinders and sacrifice one to learn if the tumblers can be changed.
