ON MY 2004 Sedona the horn will not go off when I use the key to lock the door. Anyone out there has the same problem??

Is it a problem? I thought it was just notification to inform you the central locking had locked the doors when you use the remote. :blink:

my does not go off its a 2004 . I am from canada so maybe its different up here

IF your owners book state your TYPE of key A or B, and does mention it will sound the horn when locking your doors with the remote.
Now a days it seems that all cars do have a system when you open or lock your doors.

To confirm my earlier ramblings.. The Manual states the horn will sound with the remote fob locking method. There is no mention of the horn sounding when using the key. This is exactly what mine does. B)

The SEDONA EX should have this option with TYPE B xmtr key and sound the horn when the key locks the doors, AS THE BOOK STATES. A friend has the LE Model and he went out to buy an after market system that sounds his horn since that was not on that Model LE.
I called the dealer again since I haven't heard from him and did make contact, he mention THE ENGINEERS ARE WORKING ON IT and will call me when he hears from them.

THe lights flash when the doors lock and unlock and the manual does not say the horn will blow. Could you copy and paste from your manual that exact line cause I would like this option also.

thanks, I look at the picture and the unlock in type b latches right and latches left for an A. I have a type B and you are right it does not sound the horn. What happens now? I will check my manual to see if its the same and get back to you.

just to let you know my manual that came with the van does not show a fig a & b. It only shows A so the instructions are correct and the horn is not to blow. Maybe you are seeing an univerisal manual and some changes have been made.

From your latest response it appears you meant the remote key fob.

Well I can confirm I have the type B on a UK LE version and the horn does sound as mentioned in your manual extract.
