Hello all,
I am trying to buy oil for a Kia sorrent EX 2005 differential oil. My understanding is that 2005 do not need lsd correct?

I can not buy and different oil none LSD in autozone napa or etc

all I can find is 85-90wt. Do i just buy that and add the lsd?

I have read that the rear requires is and then i have read it is not required. I am confused

If you have a 4WD you need the LSD gear oil. That is what I was told. Be sure to raise the rear the extra 8 inches so you get all the fluid in there.

As far as I am aware, 4WD Sorentos with traction control do not have LSD. All other 4WD models do. If yor not sure just use LSD oil, it won't harm a conventional diff.

I've been using Valvoline 80W-90 Durablend synthetic gear oil (bought in Autozone) for the past 40K-50K in rear and front differentials and no problem. it's actually says on the bottle that it's for LSD. But you can always get for non-LSD and just add LSD additive, should be in Autozone too.
