A friend has just developed a problem with his Kia Sorento. Taken it to the main dealers and has been told that
"When the fuel is examined it appears to have a green “algae” in it. This in fact is a silicone lining that Kia put in the fuel tanks and which has now degraded. Kia are refusing to accept responsibility saying that owners must have been using “inferior or cheap” fuel."
Does anyone know anything about this. I have a 2005 Sportage Diesel and am wondering whether I need to get it checked before any problems arise OR is it just the main dealers trying to make money?
