Whilst checking oil etc. under the bonnet of our new Sorento, I happened to unscrew the oil filler cap whilst the engine was running.
I was surprised (very) by the amount of gasses blowing out of the filler cap hole. This would usually indicate very poor ring seal.
Amount of blowby is the same with hot or cold engine.
Anyone else found this? Is it "normal"? - a function of this particular engine's internal breathing system?
Car is a new (500 mile) CRD XE.
