Well, it sure sounds like a simple, straight-forward and valid question. A simple, straight-forward and valid answer could have been (and SHOULD have been) provided.

Note to car salespeople: Stop being a RICHARD (subsititute nickname) and talk to people as PEOPLE! You might sell more cars! :auto: :shades:

SouthEast KIA in Somerset, KY is where I purchased our Sorento and they are what I consider to be a GREAT dealership. This was the best car buying experience that I have ever had and I have had many. I normally expect to get disrespected, disappointed, and far beyond angry by sales people, especially sales managers.
The sales people and sales manager were courteous and friendly, not in a fake way but genuine because you can spot a fake a mile away. Offered us discounts that we didn't know existed and gave us top dollar for our trade-in, which was substantial. Let us take the car to go eat while they hashed everything out for us. When we returned, they had us a deal that was impossible to pass up. They filled up the tank (haven't had that happen since the 70's) and washed the car and we were on the road. I left there pleased instead of wondering how badly I got screwed. We made friends with the salesman and he has called several times to make sure we were happy. Can't beat that!

I25 Kia

Went to I25 Kia in greater Denver after another Kia dealer wouldn't quote a price via email and got kinda short. We were treated well and left alone (to our liking). Said we wanted to drive a car, they handed us the keys and said come back when you're done. Great! No salesperson squalking in my ear during the drive. I said I want the bottom price because I hate the whole process and they knocked 4K off plus the rebate. NO BS, No negotiation. I hate buying a car but they were OK. Presented 3 options finance, one payment lease and cash. F&I was backed up and we were paying cash so after waiting 45 minutes, I was walking out without the car. Of course they panicked and said, just take the car and we'll come by your house to close. Two days later we closed at our home. For the first time after buying 5 new cars I found a dealership I'd likely return to.

We just bought our Kia Niro at Deland Kia in Fl. So far very good dealership, only a few bumps in the road but nice people. They went out of their way to locate a basic LX at (I think) a fair price. Hopefully their service is good.

Having an issue with a service department.

Just thought I would vent here and see if anyone has a suggestion.

We leased a 2017 KIA Sedona and we love the van. We had to have a tire replaced within the first 1000 miles or so due to running something over.
We took the van in to the dealer that we leased from for our first service, oil change and tire rotation.
When I looked at the van, I noticed that the tire we replaced was still in the same location. I called and I was told that, it was decided that a rotation was not needed due to lack of wear. This has happened on all five of the services that we have taken the van in for. This last time they told me that they rotated three of the tires but didn't rotate the one I replaced because it was the wrong size and it was a safety issue. When I pointed out that the tire is not the incorrect size and that if it was why did we have five services before they said something. They guy said, he didn't say it was the wrong size but the tread pattern was to different and that would cause pull. This is were I stopped communicating with the dealer and contacted KIA's complaint department. It has been ten days and KIA has not contacted me. Have I waited long enough? Is there another way to get in contact with KIA other than their web site? This is my first new car, is this a common occurrence. Felling very frustrated.

Call Kia and leave a message saying they will be dealing with your lawyer due to no response if they don't return your call within a week and due to making your van unsafe to drive since tire replacement.

I sent in a complaint using KIA's website, no response. I called KIA and no response after initial call. So I decided to stop in at a couple of shops and ask some questions. After hearing what was going on they both suggested that I contact the Bureau of Auto Repair. I have now done that. It is frustrating to me that this is what customer service has come to. Oh, well....

I just found out that since my warranty was expired, I would now have to pay a $125 diagnostic charge every time I take it in. Any other dealers doing this or is it just mine?

Back to the tire issue.. Did you get the tire from the dealership or a tire store? If from a tire store you need to go back to them and get the correct tire or Kia will never work with you. Non matching tire tread 'wander' is possible but not a sure thing. You really should change tires in pairs if non matching tread is possible. Why did you not get the exact same tire?

I didn't get the exact same tire because the tire shop did not have one. I was on my first leg of a 10 day road trip (We were in Idaho and live in California), so I picked the next best thing. The tire size is the same width/sidewall/rim and the tread pattern is very close.

This has been an ongoing battle, after five services of them telling me that they rotated the tires when I could see they had not. Well I had had enough and gave them a bad review and that is when they got an attitude and blamed me for getting the wrong size.

I talked with the Bureau of Automotive Repair here and they feel like there is something worth looking into, so I will let them take it from here. I have found another dealer to go to, it's a bit farther away, but their attitude is much better.

Honestly, I hate the car buying experience and never let my guard down. I don't trust car dealers as far as I can throw them. That being said. The most pleasurable car buying experience I can recall was with CarMax when I bought my first pickup in 2013, then again for my newer pickup in 2015... True no hassle, no pressure, no bs.
