I was driving to work this morning, humming along when all of a sudden...chug-chug-chug CHECK ENGINE. What the hell????????

Sputter, Sputter, Sputter...long story short, the little Kia Sephia that Could is in the shop and I am awaiting diagnosis. My first thought was fuel filter, or plugs going out but I'm too dumb to figure it out myself. So here I sit in the waiting room pacing and smoking cigarettes... :crying:

I'll let you know what's up tomorrow...I'm at 91,000 miles. If my little Kia is going to cost too much to fix, I'll trade up to a Spectra5, but was hoping for the Sephia to make it to at least 150,000. Luckily, I've been saving towards a new car just in case. At least they're going for 0.0% APR.

Wish me luck...

Well...the Kia is up and running like a champ.

Fuel injector replacement and plugs / wires.

Ready to go another 90,000.

Gotta love the Kia.

Sorry to say this, but I think they robbed you on the fuel injector. :(

I just rolled my 2001 Sephia over 100K, and had the same problem...it was the wires and a bad ignition coin.

Total repair cost less than $100.00 and it took a total of 15 minutes...most of which was spend getting out a stripped screw.

I'm not a mechanic, either.
