This is driving me crazy! I have a thin green line coming down the block from behind the AC compressor. I can see any further in. This is on the V6 engine. Where could this be coming from?:(

Water pump it was

Hey I like my little Kia. It is well designed. The water pump is driven by the timing belt which is behind a cover that is behind the accessory belt. The water pump does have a bleed hole on the top. However, if antifreeze everleaked out of the bleed hole, it would scatter all over the timing belt and not be visible for a period of time. Kia designed a nice little bleed tube into the aluminum block so that the water pump is able to "bleed" to a spot outside of the timing belt area. It happens to come out behind the a/c compressor.

New water pump, new timing belt, happy car at 123,000

:)
