Hi,
found oil leaks around my valve cover and decided to replace with a new one. I have read that you have to take off the cylinder head cover (6 bolts), then remove the four bolts and 2 coils from the cover. Do the coils come right off when you remove the bolts or is there more to it?
Sorry for the ignorance, this is my first Kia.
thanks!

Yes remove the two bolts on each coil,, then remove the spark plug wires going to each coils "sister" plug. Then just give the coil a firm pull straight up.

Be sure to draw out a picture of which plugs are coil-over and which plugs are tethered as you cannot test run the vehicle until the plenum is reattached to the intake duct.

Have fun, Derrick.
