Teething problems for deffo !! Most have the clock fault, shame they let you take the car first then inconvenience you to bring it back in !! Same happened with mine. I also had slashed rear leather seats ! Regards the other bits then I would say just unlucky and any dealer should be more than happy to rectify straight away. Had mine 3 months now and no it's not the best motor I've ever had but it's good and alot more fun than most motors. Many people still say to me they can't believe (it's not butter ) it's a KIA !! It's loosening up a bit now as well which is nice !

Clock issue is a pain, please be paitent with the dealer on that, the 'new' clocks are backordered, so it's really out of the dealers hands til stock arrives in the UK.

Why is a new clock needed? Isn't it just a wiring problem?

You will like it once all of your issues have been fixed. I have had my 04 Sorento for about 11 months now. No major issues. I have 13,000 miles on it and it is the best vehicle I have ever owned.

I've heard so many stories about dealers (KIA and everyone else) causing damage during repairs. Paint scratces, scuffs etc. Trim damage, scratches gouges - you name it.

Every time it happens and they are confronted they always act innocent and disavow any knowledge or responsibilty. Why is that? Do they think we're all stupid? They'd have us believe that some sort of invisible 'damage fairy' wanders from dealership to dealership randomly causing damage rather then admit that they just plain screwed up.

Like so many others, I too need my clock replaced. I've decided that just before I drop my Sorento off - I'm going to snap some pictures of the dash from different angles as evidence in case there's another random 'damage fairy' visit. I may do the outside of the verhicle too just in case the 'damage fairy' gets ahold of a fork lift of something.
