My gf has a MAgentis that’s some 3 n half years old. Recently she’s getting the check engine light flickering on n off every five minutes or so. Actually m not very good wid automobiles and stuff. I just need some help frum u ppl.
it could be as simple as a loose screw as you hit bumps its rattles setting off the light more often then not the check engine light doesnt always mean somethings wrong belive it or not its not that important
Check the gas cap is tight, don't laugh tank pressure is tied into the emissions control package and a loose cap can bring on the MIL lamp. Also when was the fuel filter last changed as low FP caused by a blocking fuel filter can cause the engine management system to chase a overly lean mixture, insist on seeing the old filter when replaced as some repairers only allegedly replace them when there due.
If it flickers, then it's probably a loose ground or a short in the wire between the ECM, in the ECM, or in the instrument cluster. Normal reasons for the check engine light would cause the light to stay on constant, even it it turned off later.
