Hi Guys

My wife has a 98 Sportage. I bought spark plugs for it and was going to change them today. I see I have to remove the air intake tube that is over the cover of the spark plugs. Does any one know what that gasket is called that go between the throttle body and the air intake tube or can I reuse the gasket that is already there?

Thank You
Walter

The throttle body gasket is metal if not damage reuse it. IF damage replace it.
The throttle body has 3 mounting bolts ( 13 mm i think ) and the one closest the fire wall is long. The rest of the bolts are 10 mm. Remove the coil packs an check for oil in the spark plug gallery if so that would in indicate bad valve cover gasket ( replace ).
You should be good to go from there.
