DTC P1309 - Chassis Acceleration Sensor Signal Malfunction.

The chassis acceleration sensor is bolted to the frame on the right side of the engine compartment. Passenger side if left hand drive. Just to the right of the strut tower and in front of the fuel filter. Check the electrical connector to the sensor. Make sure it's tight and no corrosion. If the wiring is OK the sensor might be bad.

If you want the diagnostic procedures send me an e-mail at [email protected].

Are you sure you located the correct sensor? According to my 1998 - 2000 FSM the chassis acceleration wiring is as follows:

Pin 1 - yellow wire with green stripe

Pin 2 - green wire with yellow stripe

Pin 3 - blue wire with green stripe

It's possible there was a change from 1997 to 1998. I'll send you the data that I have.
