Map display freezes and touch screen doesn't work on any other apps like podcast. GPS continues to give directions and small screen on dash displays turns, but main screen freezes on map.
I initially had these problems and thought it was the charging area interfering with the iphone connection (usb) It seemed to help if the phone was not in the area of he charger. My phone is older and doesn't have the charger pad.
The screen unlocks when it is used for the camera, and seems to reset the carplay. It's very annoying and not safe.
The built-in navigation seems to work ok, no issues, i prefer apple maps, can set destinations in advance.
