I backed into a sign yesterday (my wife was in the car which made it worse:mellow:) and cracked the bumper in a spot and caused a raised section in the plastic above the crack.

Can these plastic bumpers be repaired? and if not what would be the price of a new one?

I have a $500 deductible so I might be caught between a rock and a hard place.

thanks

most body shops can do plastic repairs. On my previous vehicle, a Rondo I hit a large raccoon and it cracked my bumper and it was repaired and the paint blended that there was no way you could tell that anything had happened to it and for at least half the cost of a complete bumper replacement.

Also guys that do repairs at dealerships on there new and used vehicles that get scratched and damaged.
If you purchase a new bumper, then it also had to be painted to match which is not cheap, or you could check at a wreckers for a replacement.
