Thinking of buying a 04 demo Sorento tomorrow. Are there any problems I should look out for? { I am trading 98 ford explorer, which I love, very comfortable ride.} Sorento will be towing 16ft caravan around Australia. Any advise would be appreciated.

Goooood daaaay ....... My previous 4x4 was a Ford Explorer. Run a 2004 Sorento XS 2.5crdi now towing a twin axle caravan, just short of 8 metres long .... wouldnt even consider looking back at the Ford. The Sorento is no comparison to the ''lump o lard'' the ford feels like ............ GO FOR THE SORENTO, you wont be dissapointed!!
Only advise would be to check it has a full service history & any Kia recalls have been carried out.

Cheers

Roger 2 that John ... I too made the same wrong decision re the Explorer. Had the new sequential gas conversion etc done to it to try & save on fuel, but it never ran the same again.
I've had a few newish BMW's in the past & obviously been well impressed with them. Whilst the Sorento's build quality isnt up to BM's .... value 4 money it has no other car in it's league. Believe me ... as long as the car you are looking at has been looked after you will not be dissapointed.
As I said, I tow one of the largest caravans available in Britian & you really do not know it is on the back. I have towed at speeds upto around 65mph & expierenced no probs.

Just you look forward to joining the 'Sorento Clan' !!!!!
