So my 2013 Kia Soul has been having a problem, when I hit 3000rpm it starts to buck, just so happened that I needed to bring it in anyways for recalls and they told me it was crank shaft position sensor (easy to replace) they were gonna charge 150 , I bought a genuine part from Kia and did it myself.. same problem, I am out of work atm so there is no chance of bringing it in. Just wondering if anyone had same issue, only thing I can think out is it jumped timing.

Best get the stored error codes read as a starting point.

It should not be assumed that the sensor has failed - it is merely a diagnostics pointer indicating the the signal received from the sensor is not in synch with the crank sensor, and could be the VVT oil control valve, but diagnostics is needed to clearly identify the cause.

What's the mileage?
What's the service history - oil and oil filter change interval?
What oil and oil filter used?
