new curve ball on our 2002 sporty!!! brake warning light in the dash comes on while pressing on peddle and then goes off when released. Brake fluid level is in the middle... shall I add some?... no obvious leaks, no drips, brake peddle is pretty much firm ---new front pads and rotors...... is there a wear sensor somewhere?
once again any help is appreciated

No wear sensor. I would add some fluid to see if that is the problem. If not it could be your brake light switch, mounted on the brake padal. near the firewall.

added fluid and now all is well...the little float was riding low...thanks for responses---however, brake fluid just doesn't go away so upon further investigation found that it is the old classic.. wet on the bottom of the vacuum booster=new master cylinder required....from previous experience you all agree?
