I have a 1999 sportage. The brake light on the dask turns on & off during braking.
I looked around the car. there is no brake fluids leaking.

Looking at the front wheels there are 2 hoses to the front wheels.

One is the hydrolic line.

What is the other one?

Looks like a vaccum line??

Because both are broke & handing off the metal pipes.

Could this cause my light problem??

Thanks for the help

I replaced both hoses but the light still flashed on hard braking.

Looking closer at the master cylinder i noticed there are two wires coming from the plastic hydrolic fluid holder.

I took the cap off to find a float inside.

This float must activate the brake light.

The fluid was low. During hard braking, the fluid must have slid to the front & set off the light on the dash.

After filling it up & testing, the light no longer flashed.

Interesting, another example of a warning light with no problem to the machanical parts or operation?
