Hi recently had fuel filter replaced on 2002 Kia carnival. 2 days later driving down hwy when one end of the bracket/brace holding fuel tank under car came down and dragged under vehicle. Road side service was able to fix and major crisis was averted. Was this caused by mechanic changing fuel filter? they say they wouldn't have touched brace under car??
If anyone can clear up for me that would be great.
Cheers

You don't have to remove a brace to change the filter. Suppose they could have had trouble damaging the fuel line or something and had to remove it. Probably just a coincidence.

The external f/filter would have nothing to do with the gas tank. Was the strap rusted?
