Hello, 1995 kia sportage.. I had to tow it home last nite because it blows the fusable link " Ignition" in the engine compartment fuse box.. I'm not yet sure it blows when the key is in the " ON " position or if it has to be turned all the way to start to blow the link. .. I will discover that in a bit..
Anybody experienced this issue ?? Rite off the bat i'm suspecting it may be an issue with the starter or its heavy lead cable??. maybe the solinoid ??
I appreciate your help...

We need to clarify if it is a fuse-able ink (part of cable), or a circuit fuse (plug-able fuse in power distribution box)... Philip

Long time since I accessed a schematic..

I recall that fuse supplies the ECU, Fuel pump relay and the O2 heater circuit....

Replace the fuse with a jumper connected to a test light, then disconnect the individual accessories, when the circuit is clear the light will extinguish...

You will then have to test the offending circuit and/or attachment..... Philip

Check your spark coils, and fuel injectors also. Check the wiring harness for any broken damaged wires also.
