For about 1 year now, after complaining to dealership..they finally discovered why i could not get air coming out front defrost vents...

it was a tempremental problem and sometimes there was air and sometimes there wasnt...If the van was having a good day....the wind would come out of the defrost....so then i didnt dare turn the switch to floor or vent....

today..hallelujah!.....they discover that an actuator needs replacing....

..had it in twice before for this problem and said "nothing wrong with it"

so if the donkeys tell you "nothing wrong"..tell them about an actuator that can get seized up , or can get a short in it...i think it is in the area of the glove box..they also said that if something from glove box spills backwards in behind dash that it can jam the actuator as well.

way to many bugs in my Sedona......I have a 1994 GMC Safari Van with 310,000 KM and it puts my 2003 Sedona (68,000 km) to shame...thank goodness for the warranty

trying to trade it off on a Toyota Sienna and the Toyota dealers dont want to hardly give you anything for it.

I assume the actuator changes the position of a flap to direct the air to other vents. Someone else (elsewhere) complained of a problem similar to yours and that was my guess.

Thanks for this post. My 2002 Sedona has the exact same problem - no air going to windshield defrost. I'm going to try removing the glove box tomorrow to see if I can find anything jammed in there.
