Blind Spot

My 2017 Sorento has a blind spot. A vehicle will disappear from the rear view mirror and not yet be visible in the side mirror. I solved this problem on a previous vehicle by clamping additional mirrors onto the side mirrors but the shape of the Sorento mirrors doesn't permit this. I really do not like the little round stick on fish eye mirrors but I don't know what else to try. Any suggestions here on the forum?

Your mirrors are not adjusted properly if this is happening to you. Adjust your sideview mirrors outwards so when when half the of a vehicle is outside the rear view mirror boundries, you can see the other half in the side view.

It might be out uncomfortably far out, but this is how mirrors are supposed to be set. Every person I've run into thinks they need their mirrors aimed so they can see their doors for some reason which leaves a huge gap between side view and rear view.

With them set properly like I mentioned above. A car should exit the side view when it's next to you and slightly behind (basically at this point you should be able to see it if your look over your shoulder).

On my wife's 2018, if you adjust the mirror properly, there are no blind spots and then you turn your head and check anyway. We don't have LDW or BSW so it's imperative that we adjust those mirrors properly. Unfortunately, technology is un-teaching us how to drive safely.
