Went to napa to order a brake master cylinder, their computer called it a hyundia santa fia. Questions is , will some parts from a hyundia fit on a kia sportage, ie-rear disc brake conversion, etc, etc. Went to auto zone, part was much cheaper for master cylinder

I believe the Santa Fe uses a 5x4.5 bolt patern where as our Sportages use a 5x5.5 bolt patern so no the rear disc will not work. Plus I believe the Santa Fe is front wheel drive bassed. I know they have independent rear suspension.

I'm doing the master cylinder this weekend on my Sportage too. I went with the NAPA master cylinder even tohough it was twice the price of the one form Autozone. Something about it being that cheap scares me and I have not had good luck with Autozone's parts in the past.

When changing the master cylinder, make sure the actuating rod is adjusted to spec for the new unit.... Philip

No special tools, but there is a procedure. It is probably at the KIA tech site. I don't have my book handy.
