I have a 2003 XE Diesel Auto (four speed conventional) with 26,000 miles on the clock, since 20,000 miles this car has continued to pull forward when idling in drive, this is not just 'creeping', you need your foot planted hard on the brake or you simply carry on driving forward in traffic (same problem is apparent in reverse). I have taken the car to my dealer ( I cannot help but wonder how they got the franchise) this morning and have just been told 'they all do this'. I have owned a few automatics in my time and I do know that they do occasionally creep forward but this is something altogether more serious, has anybody else encountered this, better still, does anybody else know the solution before I get the AA in to carry out a report on what is a potentially hazardous fault.
