hey everyone, I got 116K on my SX. I think its time to change out the plugs. Since kiatechinfo aint free anymore anyone have a write up? That intake manifold looks like a pain to remove, dont even know where to start. Any help would be great!
Anyone have a write up on how to change the spark plugs?

I couldnt find a write up so I went ahead and did anyway. I just started loosing up bolts and disconnecting vacuum lines and wire connectors on the intake. I was like f**k it. But it turns out it went pretty smooth. It took me about 30 minutes to take out the intake. I replaced the plugs and gaskets for the intake too. And theres also a couple of hidden bolts behind the intake too that are not hard to remove.
So basically, it's not hard. How did the plugs look? Any other tips you can think of or problems that you ran into? Did you get an OEM gasket or a generic Autozone, Advance Auto, etc one? Sorry for all the questions but my goal is to do all my own routine work.
It wasnt hard at all. The plugs looked fine even at 116K miles on them. I couldnt believe it. I should of did it in the spring when the weather is better but I did it in my garage and it was cold. The only problem I ran into was one of the vacuum hoses ripped on me as I was pulling it out. But it was ok I just cut some off and still was able to plug it back in. And gaskets I used victor reinz. Hope this helps!
P.S. I ordered the gaskets (VR intake and plenum gasket set, didnt use the plenun) and NGK plugs at Rockauto
Forgot to add, what are the torque specs for the plenum/surge tank on the 3.5? I know these components are made of plastic and I don't want to torque too tightly. Thanks!
