Im based in England and I own an old but fantastically wonderful Kia Mentor (or Sephia in the States)

It's an old 1.5 SLX, but I think the alternator is broken as I put a fresh battery in the other day and it went flat after one days driving.

Ive tried to remove the old alternator but it's really proviong a problem to remove.

Are there any links on the net or guides on the forum on how to do a replacement and how much am I expecting to pay for a new one.

Im at the end of my patience as I need my car back on the road soon!

Just gotta jack the car up and put a tower under for your security while underneath, then lose all the bolts holding it in place and get up to the engine bay to release power steering lines from the chassis belt clips and push one towards the intake, the other one away to give you clearance while pulling the alt up and out.
