KIA BORREGO HEAD/TAIL FILM COVER KIT

eBay Store - YOUR COVER CONNECTION: HEADLIGHTS, TAIL LIGHTS, HEAD TAIL LIGHT COMPLETE KITS

Note: I am not endorsing this product... I haven't bought it, just scoping it out.

Hmmm... you can buy individual front or rear for $9.99 plus $8.00 shipping... or the complete front and rear set for $35 with free shipping. You save a whopping 98 cents by buying the set ... should be a little more savings imo.

Pros:
Low risk... if you don't like it just take it off with no changes to vehicle
Full satisfaction guarantee and backs it up (judged by his customer feedback)
If you resell the car, just pull it off and back to original (yes, this makes a huge difference in resell)

Cons:
Kinda expensive for what you get
May look cheap?

Running Boards for Borrego

I just got my Borrego 2 weeks ago and I love it! The only thing I can't quite figure out is why the Ebony Black Borrego (EX with DVD) does not come with running boards?! If all the other colors available have running boards for this model, why not the black one? Kia's Customer Service (which was awesome and quick to respond) said something about the lower moulding was different on that one than the others. Why would moulding be different just because of the color? I was told by the dealership that you cannot put running boards on the vehicle because of this. Has anyone else heard this? I would really like to have them since it's hard for my 7 year old twins to climb into the back seat. Anyone have any ideas? :)

It doesn't seem very cost effective to put different running boards on the same vehicle just because of it's color... but that's just me I guess.

You might have to search for an aftermarket alternative... but the Borrego being a new vehicle and the recent decline in auto sales may make it difficult to find an alternate.

Thanks smuook :)! I'll just have to wait and see what kind (if any) aftermarket accessories become available for the Borrego. It's strange having a brand new model vehicle. I've always been used to having tons of factory and aftermarket accessories always available to pick from. It seems like half of the factory accessories are not even available yet. I guess the waiting game is officially on. Thanks again!

Do you guys have the indash screen with GPS? Apparently it's not available in Canada.

I was wondering what a head unit like that costs to purchase separately or if you guys have a suggestion where to find one.

catalin,

I've got the factory DVD in mine, but it seems like you should be able to order the navigation head unit from a Kia parts department in the US. The problem I'm finding is that Kia really hasn't given any of their parts departments any parts or accessories you can buy for the Borrego. All of the Kia dealers here in Northeast Ohio (Cleveland area) are still waiting for Borrego accessories to be shipped to them from Kia. I had to order factory mudguards from Pennsylvania! So, it will probably be hit-or-miss with the parts departments finding what you want. Good Luck!

Jimbo:)
