Does anyone know of a wiring skematic available quickly for the back of the CD Player / AM FM Radio that fits in the 99 Kia Sephia??? There are all these cut wires coming out of this white conection and they're all different colors. I bought a harness that fits my Sephia's connection and has the colored wires that are labeled but I don't know if it will coincide with the colors on the back of the radio. I want to splice the wires together but I'd like need to be sure.

Can anyone help?

Thanks,

Kelvinkia

you can go to your kia dealship and they can copy the wire diagram for free for you. or visit a local junk yard/u pull it and get the stock harness from one of the cars there for usually under 3 bucks.

About CD install, I'm having the same problem. Someone cut off the original Kia conectors and did a hack job of splicing an old Pioneer harness to it. Some wires are not connected at all. I found out when I unwrapped a few feet of electrical tape covering the "splice job". The original Kia colors seem vague to me and I don't know how to verify what wire does what in a questionable situation. I bought the radio back to Wal-Mart and they refunded my money! It's a job vfor a pro I think. speedster1

These go into the Kia 'mating plug' - EIA Wiring color code -
The plug has Male pins, that are not numbered or marked.

3. Ground = Black
4. Power Ant. = Blue Facing you with center 'open latch' on top

10. Left Front+ = White | |
11. Left Front- = White/Black |--------------------------------------------|
12. Right Rear+ = Violet
13. Right Rear- = Violet/Black NOTE B = Blank no wire or male pin.
14. Left Rear+ = Green N = Not even a hole for a pin.
15. Left Rear- = Green/Black ALSO this KIA wiring harness DOES NOT
have a #4 Blue = Power Antenna

Ok when I bought my car It had a clarion head unit in it.

I know how to get the dash off in a 2000 kia.

Unscrew the two screws above the guage cluster, then procese to pop the dash off. Disconnect the clock, the rear defroster, and the emergency light wires,. Be sure to take the top of the streering column off. Tilt the dash and the radio will be right there.

Heres a link if you get confused, lol sorry im half alseep its hard to type.
