I have an automatic '99 Kia Sportage EX with 57000. Got the brake light thingy fixed. :D A mechanic emptied the entire brake system fluids and refilled it and now no more of the brake light coming on :D but....now my car revs up at speeds of 65 to 70. It's as if someone is holding your shirt as your trying to run and then lets go. :crying: No codes come up on the computer and it happens every couple of hundred miles. :( I've had the Mass Air Flow sensor changed as well as the fuel filter, spark plugs, and belts. Anything else and I'll sell the car as new with all the new parts I've put into it. I'm afraid of having my wife and kids in the car because anything can happen.

i heard of this problem before.

I heard it was a grounding problem.
There was a factory grounding issue with the car.

I heard it was a catalitic converter problem.
I do not know why but it seems that KIA converters clog???

I heard it was a oxygen sensor problem.

good luck
