Just got a '13 Soul and haven't really had time to read the Owner's Manual. What's with this 5,000-mile additive to the tank I'm supposed to put in?

its every 7500 miles or 12 months, but it may not be necessary, its only if TOP TIER detergent Gasoline is not available, one bottle of additive is recommended.

If you want to use the additive, Kia recommends Techron.

Just buy Chevron Gas and you get it with each tank...

rough idle

I have 10,000 miles on my 2012 and it has a mild rough idle. Wonder if this would help. I had my oil changed at the dealer at 7500miles but they did not say anything about it. They also put my next oil change at 12500 which will be 5000 instead of owner's manual recommended 7500.

Had mine done last week, they tagged mine for the next service in 3000 miles. They are greedy!
