I already change my own oil and have done plugs/brakes on many of my own cars in the past.

I'm probably going to just get OEM replacement plugs although the NGK (4469) LFR5AIX-11 Iridium IX Spark Plug are REALLY tempting (and would change the need for q30k changes right?)

Anyone know what the gap is? All of the park finders I've seen have .044 gaps? I thought tap-gapping iridium plugs cracks them so assume the 0.044 gap is OEM. I have gap sticks.

My other question is, is there a special release switch for the plastic cover over the engine block or just brute strength to pop it off? I don't want to break it trying to take it off only to later discover there was an easy release.

We have 2011 Kia Sorento EX 2.4

Thanks

You have 100,000 platium s/plugs in your Sorento, no need to change them with only 30k.
