2022 Kia Rio push button start and technology package.
Looking for a remote start alternative.
12v solutions does not have a product for 2022 Rios yet. I want to retain the factory key fob and not have to carry a extra fob to complete a remote startup. Three pushes of the lock button or some other sequence of buttons pushed would be ideal. Less ideal would be a smart phone system but that would require some sort of monthly or yearly subscription and a module.
I like the idea of no cut systems but some may require cutting 2 wires which would be ok. I dont want to cut a bunch of wires.

Same boat as you I did stop in my local install shop and they do have options in their compustar line which are great units about 365 bucks which I am probably going to go with. I use the app now which is just garbage till my one year subscription runs out

I just clicked on the link I provided and looked at the how it works section. The how it works section says it only works with push to start.

you are correct those evo units will work, I was looking into them a while back ago I thought you were looking for something you could buy and just plug and play. the evo units need to be programed to work with your kia. I think it was like 260 to buy and get the stuff to program like an interface from your pc to the unit. in the end for a little bit more ill just have a repubitle shop do it and then they a offer a free lifetime warranty. post how you make out cause me and others would be interested

the my key system is more plug and play the evo system looks more intrusive needing probably more wires to be cut.

Very good!! I have a 2021 Rio S 5 door and I had this installed by my dealer for free when I purchased the Rio in November 2021..

Finally!
I have emailed them 3 times over the past year.
February 22, June 22, October 22. Each time I was told they didn’t have anything yet.
I actually like the 3 pushes of the lock button rather than 2 I feel like that is more deliberate.
There is one other company that had a system nearly identical to 12v solutions they had the 3 button lock push too. But I can’t find them again. That other company also didn’t have coverage for 2022 only 2021

Ordered the 12v solutions kit. I only got the base kit to get the remote start with the factory remote.

I had ordered the same kit that you have, but after my purchase, I also ordered the lifetime warranty, both also discounted for 10%... I have had this installed by my Kia dealer with the following instructions which I wrote up after viewing their video... I have had it now for 15 months with no issues: I hope that this is helpful for a smooth programing experience.

2018-2021 Kia Rio 5 Remote Start Plug and Play Kit (Push Button Start)

Module Programming

On the front side of the module with the push button to the left, push and hold the button while you connect the large black connector in the center and wait for the lights to flash red… release the button.

Install the blue connector on the same side to the right (with the blue colored slot) and then on the back side connect the black secondary connector to the black slot… Turn the ignition on and wait for the solid green light… you may here audible clicks… turn off the ignition.

Press the brake pedal down and start the car, release the brake pedal and let the engine run for 10 seconds… then push and hold the brake pedal down and push the button on the module and release it…. you will have a red light…. give it a couple of seconds and then release the brake pedal and you will get a few green blinks and then you can turn off the engine.
To start the vehicle, make sure the doors, hood and trunk are closed… on the OEM fob, push the lock button 3 times and after a few seconds the engine will start.

Note: Both the yellow wire and the blue twisted two pin jumper wire will not be used… Do Not Cut These Wires Off… the video tells you to do this, but should the remote start fail, cutting these wires may void my refund on return!

I will be doing the installation. I previously held ase certification and was a automotive mechanic for 9 years. It doesn’t sound that difficult.
Could have used remote start last night after work. It was about 30*F and it took quite a while for the everything to clear
