Does it sound like a rodent? Seriously? I have had this happen a couple times and I can’t figure out what causes it. It seems to definitely be coming from underneath the steering column and, like you, it’s not just when I’m turning. Freaked me out one morning on the way to work - it really sounded like a rodent in the works.Hey all! I'm curious if anyone has had a similar issue with their 2022 Sorento (or any other KIa for that matter). I am noticing that when I drive the car for a long period of time, there's a squeaking noise in the steering wheel when I am keeping the car steady. When I fully turn the car, no noise - only when I am keeping the vehicle straight.
I took the car into the dealership last week, and they said they updated the Power Steering settings in the computer of the car, but still having some trouble. Curious to see if this has happened with anyone else, and if so what was the fix? The car is still brand new (just over 1k miles).
Thank you in advance!
I cannot replicate it - it has happened twice - 2022 PHEV with 6,500 miles.
