2021 Kia Sorento S
I just purchased the 2021 Sorento S and my iPod won't play either. First the dealership told me it was because I had an iPod nano and the technology was too old that I needed a newer iPod. So I went out today and bought a new iPod touch that cost $200 and guess what it still doesn't recognize it. So I went back to the dealership and now they're telling me that the only way that you can use the iPod is to use it wirelessly over Bluetooth but if you do that then you can't have your Bluetooth phone running at the same time so you have to choose whether you want to use your phone or the iPod this is a huge inconvenience compared to the Kia Sportage that I just traded in had I known this I probably would not even have bought the carHey all. I just picked up a new Sorento SX 2 days ago and I have tried everything I can think of to connect my ipod nano (3rd Gen) but the Sorento just doesn't see it. I validated it is supported in the manual, I connected it to my pc and made sure the nano didn't need updates, there's no specific cable I've seen mentioned like in older Kia vehicles. I've done every combination of plugging in and unplugging started vs off. Nothing is working. Anyone have ideas?
