I get 445 when I fill up US, KM = 716

 

Thanks, just got this a week ago, when I filled up at the gas station, the gauge said 636 km (395 miles) with fuel in the great white north being $1.44/L, it was $98 with 98 octane to fill it. I have been reading the vehicle takes a few times to adjust to the driver? Knowing it's a AWD, heavier then my 2012 kia Sedona Van, taking some time to get used too. Oil change is this weekend and switching to snow tires at 35 psi! Thanks for the feedback. I would love to see if it will do around 716km, as the van was 600 km (372 miles) and dry!

 

These run on 97 octane (regular gas) you're wasting money!!!
You should be using Synthetic oil as well 5W30 especially for winter. I use it all year round. I believe tire spec is 33 psi. Check the door frame sticker.

 

Thanks, the vehicle had been sitting for quite some time and I was an hour drive back to my house on the highway. So I wanted to give it a good clean out. I normally never run high test ever but it never hurts. I will check the door frame sticker.

 

Got a 2018 EX+ v6. Getting about 630+ KM per tank full. Mix of city and highway. Usually my display will show between 8L or 9L per 100KM on average. Pretty pleased with it honestly. And running on the cheap gaz too, 87 octane by the way.

 

That is the answer that I was looking for, some are saying over 700 km to a tank but finding that hard to believe. If I am getting 630 then I am happy!

 

I leave my car in Comfort and if I'm doing lots of highway driving, I am, at about 650kms a tank according to the gauge. If it's mostly city driving I'm at 550-570kms. I'd say my driving style is not great for mileage.

 

Question is when are people filling up their tanks? At 1/4 full, 1/8 full mark or when the light comes on?

 

I tend to do it as range drops below 100 miles (160 km) - but I push it sometimes on road trips.

The '19 Sorento V6 averages 21.2 MPG US (earlier 3rd gens being 1 MPG behind) or 11.2 L/100km on Fuelly - and I've never put in more than ~16 gallons into the 18.8 gallon tank so the typical number is probably ~400 miles or 643 km but lower in city, higher when cruising.

 

I have never reached 400 miles on a single tank ever!

Since I've heard we might have fuel pump issues if we let the tank get too low, I rarely wait til the fuel warning light to come on before filling up though. Our Sorento goes around local streets mostly. So I'm doing around 16~17 mpg most of the time. If we were able to go more on freeways during weekends, I can see it doing low 20's. At least based on experience, trip computer calculation is always over estimating actual mpg. My 2017 has 6 speed so perhaps that's why I have worse MPG #s. I'm not too unhappy with that because my 2014 Santa Fe Sport 2.0T FWD has lousy MPG as well. Anyway, I think Hyundai/Kia are just not known for the best fuel efficiency.

 

On my 4-banger, I've gotten 500+ miles out of a tank a few times, albeit with about 30 miles left in range and the warning light on.
But I typically fill up after about 450-475 miles with around 16 gallons of gas.
Really happy with the range, especially on long road trips.

 

The first road strip we did when the car was almost new, was 5,000 miles of all kinds of mixed driving from 12,000 mountain climbs to hundreds of miles of table flat land. On the reasonably flat stuff, cruising at a steady 75mph, we would get 25mpg based on actual fillups which usually meant 400 miles on the tank with a fillup taking about 16 gallons and the low fuel light was on.

 

In my 2019 6 cyl. all wheel drive, mostly flat terrain, I'm averaging an actual 23.5 m.p.g., or 10L/100km. The dash will tell me I'm averaging 25 to 27 m.p.g., and occasionally 30 on highway cruising around 65-70 m.p.h., but that's fantasy. I tend to fill up when it hits 1/4 tank, but like others I sometimes push that as far as low fuel light on trips.
