New Jersey requires a front license plate. My 2017 Sportage came with a bracket in the glove box. It has 2 separate bags of screws. One bag has 4 short pointed screws. The other bag has 4 longer screws, 2 of which are pointed and 2 of them are machine screws. The front bumper has dimples for where the holes go. I'm just not sure what screws go where and I'd rather do it myself and not take a chance on having the dealer put unnecessary holes in my bumper. (I have temporary tags only on the rear only right now). Anybody know what screws go where? Specifically which screws mount the front bracket to the bumper? Does the front use only the short screws? Maybe the longer screws are only for the rear. I think the dealer used the rear screws off my old car.
