2017 Sorento AEB system

Was driving the other day and had a message appear on the dash to “check aeb system”. Turned car off and then back on. Message went away. The next day, it came back on and has been on ever since (past 2 weeks). Also get message to “check smart cruise control system” when I turn cruise on. Abs light, tract control light and auto hold light are on among others as well. Had it scanned for any errors codes and none showed up. Any help on where to begin would be appreciated greatly. Thank you

Have you very recently had any work done to any of the 4 corners (wheels, wheel bearings, tires)?
Wouldn't the dealer be the logical starting point if it is still under warranty? I know in my 2003 Toyota 4Runner, that the dashboard will sometimes light up like a Christmas tree with traction control, stability control, ABS, 4WD, Downhill assist and a couple of other lights illuminated. What it means on the Toyota is that the steering yaw sensor needs to be re-calibrated - $250 at the dealer, free at home. A lot of systems are interdependent with the yaw sensor being somewhat of a primary player. Now, compared to today's controls, a 2003 is absolutely antiquated but unless I'm mistaken, things like traction control, stability control and probably even lane assist are still dependent upon the yaw sensor to make the proper corrections. What's strange is that I've never seen a reported incident of a failed yaw sensor, it just sometimes gets confused and needs to relearn "stuff". It's so common on the Toyotas that the instructions for DIY calibration are all over the Internet and the only special tool needed is a bent paperclip.

And no, all those lights never set off a code when reading with an OBD-II code reader but did set very specific codes in the dealers much more sophisticated SST code reader.

I have not had any work done to it. We purchased it used a few months back. Not sure what work was done prior to purchasing
Not likely a tone ring or sensor problem, then.
Are you still under 60K miles? If so, get that thing back to the dealer for diagnosis pronto.
And FWIW, a lot of less expensive OBDII readers don't handle the ABS system at all, and it sounds like some portion of that may be at the root of your current problems.

Got an appointment with the dealership tomorrow. I wasn’t sure about the warranty due to the fact that we weren’t the original buyer. From what I’ve read we still have a 50k mike warranty which we are under.
Better than that, actually -- 5 years and 60,000 miles

Yes. 60,000 miles. My fat fingers strike again 😂
Took it to the dealership. They immediately suspected wheel speed sensor. Replaced it and so far so good. All lights are gone and systems seem to be working well now. Seems a bit odd but 🤷🏼‍♂️

Seems I was wrong in post #5! Usually, the tone ring gets a chipped tooth or the sensor gets screwed up when service is done (e.g., wheel bearings).
