I have a 2016 Forte that keeps throwing a Transmission Range sensor code. When acting up, the car will not shift into gears properly, registering drive as reverse or with no indication of gear on the dash and with little power. The dealership has replaced and or dried out the tranny drive sensor 4 times and that seems to be the limit of their expertise always claiming they have fixed it when inevitably it will return usually when I wash the car or it gets wet with snow.
Has anyone else had this problem?

What is the actual OBD code?

… and that seems to be the limit of their expertise...
Expertise is not a word typically associated with stealership service departments.

Yes, I would agree since they told me to stop hooking my code reader to it as it messes everything up. Nice....

The fact that the problem recurs when it gets wet suggests there's a problem with the range sensor wiring or connector. Could even be they messed something up the first time they swapped it. In any case you need to find someone who knows how to do electrical testing with a meter, and is not just another part hanger.
