I got the car back after being in the shop for a while. The liftgate will almost close but stops and reopens. I can close manually, but using either switch outside or inside will not close. Have reset according to the instruction manual (4-31) but don't get the flashing lights indicating complete initialization.

Strangely enough, my cabin lights no longer work when the doors open either. The door switch is on. Confirmed that they don't come on when opening any of the doors, only if I choose to use the cabin light switch.

Any suggestions?

I had a refurbished engine put in. Ugh. So the battery was probably disconnected for a period of time. They had the car for 5 weeks. When I got it back they indicated they had to replace the tail lights (which I had upgraded to test constant burnouts). Then over the next couple of weeks, I noted the other problems. When I took it back yesterday they called and said I needed a new battery. It was sounding sluggish when starting. I went to get the car to go get a battery they apparently had to jump start it (which was odd) but was odder is that the tailgate worked! I couldn't believe it. So I returned with a new battery right away and decided to hang out and see if the new battery install would solve the problems. Nope, every problem was back. The cabin lights only come on when I use the switch near the cabin lights. Can't help but wonder something they did short the electrical system somehow. They suggested to go to the dealer and they would negotiate the repairs with them. I just hate working with the dealers.

I've tried resetting the tailgate and it won't close at all now. It stays in the furthest open position and I have to manually close. Before it would almost fully close but then open all the way back up.
