So I had a mobile mechanic come through when I couldn't get my car to start and he tapped the bottom of the tank with a mallet while I turned ignition, it finally started. Well he then said to get it replaced even though it seemed too soon for this issue, well I did get it replaced and it worked for a day and then I try and start it and nothing, same issue as before. I have to tap the bottom of the tank by the new pump for the car to start. I've already spent a good chunk to have the same issue.

was the replacement brand new?

its possible there is a loose connection somewhere that the hammering jolts in place
