I have a 2014 Kia soul with just a basic stereo, not the touch screen panel. When I try to listen to music from my phone through the USB port it says "connection error." I'm going to be upgrading my phone to one that doesn't have a headphone jack and I prefer a hardwired connection over Bluetooth since the Bluetooth sound quality isn't great.

My SD card is mounted to my phone and I have the latest software on my phone.

Any fixes? I can't find it anywhere.
