I just bought a very nice used Optima LX. Everything seemed fine until the evening after buying it. Both sets of lights (front dual map lights & rear dome lights) are not turning on when the car doors are open and the middle choice of “Door” is the option selected on both. These lights work only in the “On” position regardless of a door being open or closed.
I haven’t yet found a fix for this particular make and model for this particular issue. Others have posted info regarding a relatively simple diode replacement solution with other makes and models with mixed results. Like most here, I‘d like to avoid paying a dealership service dept. the big $$$ if there’s an easy fix. I’m not much of a mechanic but if anyone has info regarding a solution, I would be very grateful.
