K.F. Members,
I have a 2012 SX and was wondering if anyone has taken off the chrome strips on the front bumper? or if they know what is behind there or how they are attached? Thanks again!!!

Are they starting to "bubble" small stone chips break the surface and the power washers start to lift the chrome finish ?

Since they sit flush with the rest of the bumper cover, you'll most likely be left with a recessed area once you remove them..and probably at least a couple of holes that helped secure them to the bumper.

Plastidip them black, and they will blend in with the rest of the flat black trim pieces...

Or you purchase some auto vinyl wrap, its relatively inexpensive on line. Apply it to the accent pieces without removing the part. Cut off the excess vinyl with a razor blade. The vinyl comes in a variety of surface finishes and it can be removed easily.

if you do what to take them off there are two screws holding them together behind the bumper. but you will have a recessed bit as stated :)
