Just guessing, but . . .
correct wire loom and heater elements for seats.
If your car didn't have them from factory, it will require a bit of mucking about on your part.

switches on a console won't do anything to get heated front seats, its has to have the base and back heater elements built-in the seat itself and all the wiring to operate it. All this would have to be installed after market. Unless you purchased your vehicle with heated seats standard then its not there.

Thanks.

It was just wishful thinking on my part :)

There is another thread regarding adding cruise control switches to activate the cruise control and I was hoping this would be a similar easy upgrade.

It's not like I need heated seats down here in Florida LOL

Yeah, I thought it was a strange wish for a Florida owner. However, it can get pretty warm here too, but I still love 'em in my Sportage - great with a bad back on a long hul, even when the weather is quite warm!

I agree imay, its like getting a massage, so it doesn't have to be strictly a winter use item.

Here in Canada, with the exception of the base LX, all Rio's come standard with heated seats. My Soul has them standard on all models.
