Hey, so my SUV is spitting out this code, P0024. It has something to do with said timing valve. I've been trying to locate this thing, and have had no luck.

Is there anyone else that has had this issue or know the whereabouts of this timing solenoid?

Thanks!

Hey Beda,

Thanks so much! This is pretty much what I was looking for. I kinda figured the CVVT is stuck or has deposits inside that are preventing it to adjust accordingly.

Ill try and locate them with the picture in the document.

Thanks!

The solenoids are on the top front of the engine. Under the valve covers. I've attached some photos that may clarify what the solenoids are and where they are both located.

This is the front or left bank solenoid plug.

how do i find photos for 2011 kia sorento lx v6 3.5L variable valve timing solenoid exhaust left
I posted a reply with pictures but forgot to reply to your comment since this was an old thread. Hopefully that helps. The left bank is far easier to access than the right, so you are lucky it's that side you need to work on.
