I have a 2011 Sorento with the airbag light on. The red airbag light in the instrument cluster is on but the yellow passenger airbag off light next to the clock is working as it should. So, i am assuming it is not the sensor in the passenger seat. What else could it be? Thanks

Hi. It seems that the wires inside the clock spring are broken. So if you have a MT or AT Sorento you need to search for 93490 2P170 for MT or 2P370 for AT. If you are a handy person you can change the wheel clock spring by yourself with the proper tools. Good luck!

The warranty extension is for 15 years and unlimited mileage on the clock spring that is added to the oringal new car warranty. If you did not buy the car new, then this extended warranty does not apply. If your vehicle was part of this warranty extension for the clock spring, it is not a recall, you would have gotten a letter from KIA about the warranty extension. "Should you have any questions regarding this warranty extension or if your dealer does not respond to your service request in a timely manor, please contact KIA's Consumer Assistance Center at 1-800-333-4542 (M-F 5am to 6pm PST)"
