Happy New Year all!

Recently, I was listening to my CD whilst out and about and all of a sudden it cut out completely. Since then I cannot power on the stereo at all CD/Radio/USB - all completely unresponsive (the clock still displays). I've tried the below:

- Tried removing the CD using another CD/flat object with tape
- Checked the Audio Fuse on the driver side - no evident sign of failure (have swapped with the interior light to test it works)
- Basics such as holding the power/eject buttons for long periods of time

Any advice would be much appreciated! :)

I’m on my fourth Kia CD stereo ( 2 new, 2 used )

The CD players have been very troublesome.......I’ve gotten my CD’s back by being patient and persistent, buy turning the units on and off and pushing eject buttons constantly, eventually the unit would give up the CD.

It’s either that or take it out of the dash and dismantle the unit. I’ve had to do that in years past on another vehicle.

Thank you for your help. I shall certainly try these things again and let you know.

The problem is also, is that the unit itself cannot be turned on, after the CD cut out, it won't power on. As I've said I've checked the fuse and all appears to be ok. Any ideas with this in mind?

I've also read that disconnecting the battery for 10 minutes is an option and will aid the CD in being released.
